Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Great artists but bad ranked

Good job telling the truth to these hipsters. But I’d say be a little more subtle, okay?
Anyway, It’s really refreshing to see your chart, it actually looks like it’s made by a human being. It’s a good introduction into funk. It’s a shame Emancipation isn’t on spotify, but I’m enjoying Hell right now (by James Brown, let’s be clear). And there are a lot of really ballsy picks here that most people on this site would find cringy, but they probably secretly listen it too and then tell themselves they do it ironically. Great job.

Well I tried explaining it in a really nice way.... If you want the whole truth, you have zero experience and taste in music, and are acting like a 3 year old who was told something he doesn't agree with. Well I guess crying is always an option in Argentina

You like what you like and I respect that. The rating I gave you doesn't diss your musical taste, I just think charts are more interesting with descriptions, more diversity and some "obscure" choices. You know, to keep me entertained :)
Did M's performance in Evita upset you? She is a true star. So don't cry for me......

We all agree with the fact that Michael Jackson is the greatest show man that ever walked the earth . However this chart is really really bad!
