I have many strange relationships with various albums but this album takes the cakes in that department. This album was a rollercoaster of emotions the first time I heard and remains so today. From the simple, yet groovy opening acoustic chords layered over disturbing, real and gritty lyrics to the impeccable closing song, Two Headed-Boy Pt Two.
Prior to listening to Two-Headed Boy Pt Two, no song had ever made me cry before. That all changed one day after work when this song came on in the car. Having just lost my dad roughly a year ago, the lyrics hit me hard. You can feel the raw emotion as its belted out in a seemingly impossible way (try singing along to this song - you can't).
This album is near perfect and keeps me coming back all the time - feeling things on every spectrum whether I want to or not.

AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 85.7/100, a mean average of 84.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 14.2.

Where are all the great 70's albums .... and 80's albums. It is almost like you fell asleep for 20 years and woke up again in the 90's. But despite that there are some good choices here.
A good chart....despite the 'lack of love' for the 70's ~
Very good chart
Good list. Great bands. Bit of variety thrown in. Well done
you canadian eh bud?

Needs more Beatles... hehe - just a reply to previous comment. You like what you like and that's exactly what you should do.
Great chart man. A lot of variety.
As of now your chart has 41 '60s albums, and only 1 '70s album. This begs explanation.
