Never before has a band has an album been sp simultaneously goofy and melancholic. The title track sounds sad and contemplative, but it's just about having a boner. "The Decline and Fall of Me" is a peppy and hilarious song about the feeling of falling apart in your career, relationships, and even in your physical body. "Moustache" is about having a moustache. No notes. Sparks rules forever.

A wise man once said "Tago Mago is king shit of Can mountain". That man also had some facial hair and played in a ska band. His name? Karl Marx. Yeah, I bet you feel pretty fucking stupid thinking this cool soup of sounds and friendship was enjoyed by a dirty communist. In any case, I agree with Karl. As he said in "Kapital: The Adventure Continues", "Paperhouse" is beautiful, "Mushroom" scares me, "Hallewaugh" makes me run shrieking through the woods thus originating the myth of the banshee, and money is bad, but big statues of myself are sweet as hell.

Do I need to listen to the previous 9,999 Gecs by the previous 99 gecs in order to understand this album?
Hilarious jokes aside, this record is really very nice to listen to and is welcome to my house for tea any day, as long as it brings the tea and hot water. Infinitely catchier than the tracks on 1,000 gecs, these songs will burrow into your brain and infect your vocal cords in seconds flat and make you wonder how hideous, glitchy pop can be so beautiful. Like an apple in some way. Or a whale? Just listen to this record, i dunno.

This album rules and if you disagree, I hate you. Yeah yeah yeah, Jeff Mangum is a weird hermit who has an unhealthy obsession with Anne Frank and he says "semen" like four times in this album and he makes you have to think about him getting freaky with his bigh weird beard and sweater bobbing rhythmically. I forget my point, but I stand by it.

Did you know that in that scene where radiohead kicks the orc helmet because he thinks that merry and pippin are dead he kicked a real helmet and really broke his toe so his (radiohead's) scream of pain was real and was in the movie? tbh i like in rainbows better but ya gotta pay yer dues (lie about thinking okeydokey calculator is god's gift to humanity) if you wanna play the blues (have a meaningless chart on a meaningless website)

Excellent list, to be sure. Some of my favourites on here. I think your list's main shortcoming is in its inclusion of Lorde's debut; that one was a curveball. Aren't her beats just SO flat and lifeless? She does, however, have one charmingly winning quality: Her boyfriend. Isn't he just a sweetheart? Anyhow, I think you should try out Another Green World by Brian Eno--I feel like it's right up your alley. But you obviously do not like popular garbage so steer clear of people like Sky Ferreira. You'd probably hate her.
