A very personal album by Annie all tracks written by her and it is an album that deals with a failed relationship it takes a few listens but when it sinks in it hits you hard. A very melancholy album and for me her best.

I see that there's less overlap on our respective 2000s charts than there is in some of the earlier decades, though I think this is less a divergence in our tastes than it is a reflection of the effect that digital formats have had on the way we all listen to music. Still, there is so much here for me to like. I love Funeral (I know everyone does, but it's for good reason), Illinois, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and Fleet Foxes (I guess there was a strong "fox" theme in the 2000s), among many of your other selections. I appreciate your unabashed love of both Americana and pop, and the way they nestle seamlessly together in your charts. I evidently need to give Jill Scott a listen, as I've never heard of her before perusing your list. Excellent work on this!
