This is a work in progress chart. It will ever be changing as I listen to more music/ change my opinion on things that I have listened to. Once I think like I have nothing else to change, I will change these notes and say its finished. Which will be never. Be sure to checkout my Custom Charts, where my 101-200 best ever albums are, and even 201-300 as I add new albums that I have evaluated/recently listened to my chart. I'm up to over 750 albums total as of 2/5/2024.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

I´ve not yet seen a chart mixing so many 70`s rock albums with 2000`s Hip Hop picks...

26 albums in common from 15 artists. Looks like we're pretty similar. I'm glad someone else can appreciate both prog and hip hop. Great list!

Nice list! Tons of classics. For the classic rock/prog side of your chart, I would highly recommend Steven Wilson's "Hand Cannot Erase." Its a wonderful modern prog concept album. For the hip-hop end of your chart, check out "I Don't Like Sh*t, I Don't Go Outside" by Earl Sweatshirt, one of my favorite rap albums.
