"In these demon days it's so cold inside
So hard for a good soul to survive
You can't even trust the air you breathe
Cause mother earth wants us all to leave
When lies become reality you numb yourself with drugs and TV
Pick yourself up it's a brand new day so turn yourself round
Don't burn yourself, turn yourself turn yourself around into the sun"
This is the first ever album that I listened to and considered to be a masterpiece. My first listen took place in my dark bedroom when I was younger, and I remember absolutely falling in love with this album and being mesmerized by it for years. [First added to this chart: 01/03/2018]

"I'm the next act
Waiting in the wings
I'm an animal
Trapped in your hot car
I am all the days
That you choose to ignore
You are all I need
You're all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the leaves"
Although OK Computer was the Radiohead album I first listened to and thought it was the best in their discography for a while, I slowly grew closer to this album over time and multiple listens. I'm starting to prefer this absolutely beautiful album over OKC. [First added to this chart: 01/03/2018]

"I say the right thing but act the wrong way
I like it right here but I cannot stay
I'm watching TV, forget what I'm told
Well, I am too young and they are too old
Oh man, can't you see, I'm nervous, so please
Pretend to be nice so I can be mean
I missed the last bus, we'll take the next train
I'll try, but you see, it's hard to explain"
My proper introduction into the post-punk revival of the early 2000s. [First added to this chart: 01/03/2018]

"Listen master, can you answer a question?
Is it the fingers, or the brain
That you're teaching a lesson?
I can't tell you how proud I am
I'm writing down things that I don't understand
Well, maybe I'll put my love on ice
And teach myself, maybe that'll be nice"
For a while, Seven Nation Army was the only song I knew off this album, due to it being a popular choice for a marching band stand tune during high school football games. I never really looked at Elephant for any reason other than that. But once I eventually got to a proper listen of it, it holds up as a strong favorite of mine to this day. Let me hear both sides, let me hear both sides, let me hear both
Ice Age coming, Ice Age coming

We're not scaremongering
This is really happening, happening

This is really happening, happening
Mobiles skwerking, mobiles chirping
Take the money and run, take the money and run
Take the money!"
