Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Wow... for someone who's called Damon Albarn, you'd think there'd be at least ONE Gorillaz album on there... But no. I'm one of many who thinks Parklife is Blur's best, and you have it high here, which is great, but I'm rating the chart this high because of the inclusion of Porcupine. I LOVE that album. The most underrated of Echo's catalogue, for sure. Also, A Night At The Opera is great.
MLIR, Parklife, and The Great Escape in the Top3, GREAT!! I just think that 13 should be in the Top10 too, but generally a very good list.

"blur is shyte" was once written on the back of a tee shirt for a mogwai concert.
