Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

No offense, but the fact that 73% of these albums are from the 21st century suggests you should maybe branch out a bit more. But that being said, most of your picks aren't awful, just way too much Radiohead and Coldplay for my liking. Neither of them are bad bands but you really should branch out from them

73% of 00s and 10s albums... Which is ok I guess... But it's just a typical indie chart, nothing new or interesting, especially on BEA where you have overload of charts like this. It's not bad or anything, some fantastic albums up there but it just isn't as eye catching as I like charts to be, sorry

not bad, a little to much repetition with some bands, try to branch out. You have 18/40 albums all from 3 bands.

Great chart, I like your start, now diversify, I love all 2000's music you've got here. But there's a shit load of bands from the previous decades. Star with the 90's
