Came back after 9 months of listening to lots of metal. You have been a huge influence in this year's sudden massive upsurge in love for various metal scenes and sounds. Went through this chart to see what change 9 months has had to the amount I have rated... I think I have rated like 30 now and some of the ones included here (Cattle Decap, Repulsion, Ulcerate, etc) have become favorites of mine and feature high on my newly updated and reduxed decade charts.
I tend in the definite direction of grindcore and death metal of the more sludgy and mind bending varierty and there are some good ones here within that framework. This has continued to be a good resource although I admit I went away for 5 months and just now came back to see how many I naturally had listened to as I became less of a metal noob. Getting there I suppose.

Thanks a lot Merc! Yeah RYM's overall is much more to my liking, and not only because of metal choices. Hope the chart will be useful, maybe I'll finally stop trimming it down for no reason lol. I wanna have only the "worthy" albums here, so I keep it at around 90 entries for now. Still need to relisten to some stuff, but life (and hip hop tourney and 2021) gets in the way.

This is a super helpful chart. Am familiar (as in I have heard) a few and I recognize many others as classics (per RYM charts mostly). Its interesting how thoroughly the charts of BEA and RYM diverge. SOOOOO much love for extreme metal and metal in general on RYM and so little attention paid to it here.
Anyway, again this is a helpful resource and some of these albums being outside the top 10 or even 20 thousand is insane (That Bolt thrower album is outside top 20,000!!!). I think i will return to this a lot for my excusions. The new Ad Nauseam album is what brought me here. It's awesome.

Yeah, same with Somewhere Far Beyond. Gonna update it in the next few days, and hopefully get it to 100 until the end of the month since I'll have more time from the 15th
