A commercial juggernaut, and deservedly so: as far as 2010's catchy pop songs are concerned, this is as close as it gets to genius. Brilliantly intoxicating.

A thrilling musical journey. Yes, the voice is an old singer's now, but this is very creative pop music by anybody's standard. When you start thinking a 76-old multi-instrumentalist is behind it, well it's mind-blowing. Rock on Sir Paul!

Not catchy but definitely worth exploring. There's something about the flow of the songs (appropriate given the "watery" theme) that is just so right.

A bad-ass dark EDM-reinvention? Yes, but what matters (to me at least) is the songwriter's at times gobsmacking knack for pop hooks, a catchy chorus, sensitive and clever lyrics that not only stand repeated listenings, but demand it.

I really appreciate the love your chart gives to two albums in particular: first, Laura Marling's Once I Was an Eagle, which I think must be one of the most devastatingly beautiful breakup albums I've ever heard (I think now I have nightmares about someone writing a breakup album that brutal about me--ugh). Great vocals, underrated guitar playing, pounding percussion--great stuff. And then there's Courtney Barnett's Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, which in some ways is the opposite: just plain great songwriting, and even though Barnett isn't one of her generation's great vocalists, her vocals somehow suit her laconic lyrical style perfectly. Great choices, among many of your other selections. Excellent chart overall.
