Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Because I haven't decided if this is a joke, or if it's funny, All fifty of those points are because "Live at Budokan" is on your list.
I also really like that Rammstein is right above Britney Spears, so, I guess I'll tack on 10 more...

Some true shockers here.
I haven't heard "Blackout" by Britney, but considering she's an out and out pop artist - who's careers are invariably dependent on the success of their latest single - it is surprising that you would rate it ahead of her debut album.
I see too that you've also chosen other largely dissappointing albums from big name acts - i.e Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants.
I won't even go into Nickleback or 50 Cent. At least this Elvis Hitler guy looks like a character.
