"This superbly orchestrated album is full of imposing and intense arrangements that merge Slavic-style hymns, Gregorian liturgy, Celtic folk music, Tibetan chants and Renaissance Madrigals. The stately symphonic overtones evoke early King Crimson with a modern twist." Reply

"Okay, when I first got this I would only ever listen to Soup Is Good Food. But as the months go by each song has opened itself up to me (apart from Goons Of Hazard). And this is a hugely diverse album indeed! This Could Be Anywhere proves Jello as a sheer talented songwriter. A different type of ..." [+] Reply

"Holding is a justifiable classic and is the song that got this band famous. But its on tracks such as Picture book that shows Hucknall's talent - the man can flat out sing." Reply

"The skeletal beats on show here were a genre being birthed – not actually at the point of genesis, but becoming a style in its own right, and one to be contended with. And there’s no doubting the ground-breaking nature of this record, pioneering rap in popular culture. The only problem is that it..." [+] Reply

"Criminally underrated. At the time it was released it was bombarded with negative reviews because of it's string and horn parts. Listening to this now, I can't picture this album without them. It's gorgeous in it's execution and is probably The Church's masterpiece!" Reply
"I think this album is the most underrated and not appreciated of Nick Cave. It is not only an attempt to play blues music. All songs have that much space and quietness to succumb the ominous violence. And even the Dylan cover of Wanted Man breathes heavenly under the impression of The Birthday Pa..." [+] Reply

"I don't like slick, safe pop. That said, Whitney Houston's voice was unbelievable. It's too bad she never had interesting songs to sing." Reply

"One of the few albums of the '80s that still don't sound ridicolous. Some of the best songs ever wrote by Paul Weller and a jazzy feeling that is absolutely fresh and enjoyable, even after 25 years." Reply
"Much more straight forward pop structures but it still works. Would I Lie to You, There Must Be An Angel (Playing with My Heart), Sisters are Doing it For Themselves are among their best and classic work. The rest of the album brings much to the table as well." Reply
