"Oh, I love that guitar and bass aesthetic...what a sleepy, dream atmosphere. London’s voice lilting over top is divine. Nice studio technique shown here too, such as the vocals in the codas to both “Cry Me A River” and “I Love You”." Reply

"The first of the Gil Evans collaborations. Years ago, I would get baked during baseball's playoffs and watch the games with the sound off and Miles Ahead playing. It was uncanny how many times the ebb and flow of the game matched the music. Or maybe it was just the weed." Reply

"This album is a masterclass on being able to balance laid back yet effective cool jazz/bop sounds with out of this world experimental jazz. Some mesmerizing moments on here, but some 'less is more' memorable hooks as well. What a brilliantly layered record." Reply

"Very entertaining exotica album ... very rich in its instruments, that lay the ground for Yma's insanely, out of this world good vocals!" Reply
"For such a young kid from such simple beginnings, he crafted simple melodies and catchy hooks as well as anyone in his time. As big of a loss as Buddy Holly." Reply
"Listening to this album is like taking a master class in pop songwriting. Pure, catchy and full of hooks." Reply

"Don't let the release date fool you. Perkins wrote it." Reply
"The plethora of music from hundreds of different countries outside the western-world tends to get clumped into a single "World" genre which is incredibly trivialising and in all honesty really, really stupid. These records tend to be incredibly underrated in the western-world, especially in compa..." [+] Reply
