"One of the things that makes this Swedish Americana album such a special project is the honesty that sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg bring to their status as musical and geographical outsiders. "Emmylou," while a tribute to the musical love affair between Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons, also..."  [+]  Reply

"Saw them live at Massey Hall in 1974 and it was scary great. This album is a pale imitation of the real thing but it's all we have. Imagine what Hawkwind could have done if they had Radiohead's 21st century technology! :D"  Reply

"Peter Hammill is another unrecognised English musical genius. Perhaps the first to recognise that the voice is another instrument to experiment with. Still Life just resonates with pain, wonder, melancholy and hope. No weak songs, but the title track and Childhood's end are masterpieces."  Reply

"Hey, so I have not listened to the album yet. And I am sure it would be worth my time. But I have to ask two questions (1) Are all these songs really BEA 90+ quality or has a little magic happened here? (2) Is this album anything like Benji by Sun Kil Moon?"  Reply

"If "You Get What You Give" isn't the best song Mick Jagger wishes he wrote, I don't know what is. Outstanding songwriting, and the music is only about a half-step behind. People love to crack wise on this, but whatever. This was one of the better albums of the 90s and an album that was essential ..."  [+]  Reply

"Less of an album to listen to and more of an album to invite into your presence, allowing it to accompany you as you walk, or sleep, or write, etc. It's like the corners of a painting and you get to be the centre."  Reply
