"Interesting but not very musically. I really enjoy the storytelling, but the voice can get tedious and the stories dull towards the end of the album. It just becomes not as interesting as you go on, but in general its a fun listen." Reply
"Not Sade's best album and it does drag in places but she is a totally enchanting presence regardless. Definitely worth listening for its stand out tracks." Reply
"It's definitely a daunting album. 16 tracks, and only one is under 4 minutes (its 3:58). It doesn't feel quite as monotonous as that that would make it seem, because lots of tracks have hidden little interlude beats or other things that add a little variety to the feel. "A comprehensive underground alternative indie rock almanac. You'd be forgiven for thinking it's everything you need to know." Reply

"Galaxie 500's last record was their finest hour, achingly beautiful, Galaxie's slow-core is a masterpiece in understatement." Reply

"a beautiful album spoilt by one track which is out of place with the mood of the rest of the album" Reply
"Badu really lets loose on this one. None of her earlier albums thump like this one. Easily her most hip-hop influenced work. You feel the confidence on this record. However, I find it a tad unfocused at times. While I enjoy the freedom, a little more control would greatly enhance the sound." Reply
