"A very second degree album: the singer (Barney Sumner)seems happy not to sing very well, like he does in New Order. They use dance 80's synth that were already outdated back in 1991. All on purpose! Adding to that a few touches of guitars from Johnny Marr, a strong songwriting, and you get an alb..." [+] Reply

"Damn Tilly. You find the good shit. And you are not wrong. The IDM is so good and melds with dream pop really well." Reply
"This is a great album. So good to see a band well into their career finding form and releasing an album that is worth listening to. Ordered the CD after streaming this. It has the classic Metallica sound, James has found his voice again. the album is a little long, bloating it a little. But I hav..." [+] Reply
"Will someone please tell me why America didn't love this? The 2nd album from Gomez was a hit just about everywhere in the world except for the US. It's loaded with great hooks, from "Hangover" and "Bring It On" to "Rhythm & Blues Alibi" and "Fill My Cup". I remember sitting in traffic with Ann on..." [+] Reply

"Very few bands, if any, have B-sides as strong as early suede. The first disk of Sci-Fi is as good, if not better, as suede and dog man star. I think if disk one had been released as a 3rd anderson/butler's suede album it would rank alot higher on the site. Disk two is pretty forgetable however" Reply
"The only pop/rock male/female duo i can recall at the time consistently putting out catchy little pop songs. "The Look" is all sorts of summed-up-80s-cool with its synth-tension and annie-lennox-esque backing vocal. The rest of the album is fairly good too (see "dressed for success" and "dance aw..." "The one last shot at mass communication! Whether that will mean anything or not in years to come, what stands out from this album is the right royal noise the group make. The strings are out on 'It's Not War Just The End Of Love' providing a brilliant conclusion to the bitter euphoria 'Your Love ..." [+] Reply
"I'm a huge Monster Magnet fan. I find this their best album. It just oozes end to end of supreme tracks (bar the hidden track which I'll never understand). I know this genre is not everyone's cup of tea, but for me, this is one of the best albums ever. EVER!!!!" Reply
