"Huh... There's some fantastic tracks on here. Amazing album... no, but why so much hate? I'd listen to this 10 times over and over again before I had to listen to an Animal poser hipster Collective album. They started to sell out... hahaha... it's pop music. They sold out the moment they wrote so..."  [+]  Reply

"For all the talk of Oasis inheriting the Stone Roses mantle, this album comes closest to the intricate musicianship and skill that was the roses true defining feature... a finely crafted work that has appreciated in value as time has passed. Thought to be just one of a crowd of albums of high but..."  [+]  Reply

"In October 1968, before any Poco or Eagles or even Flying Burrito Brothers albums, and just a mere month after the monumental release of The Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo, Dillard & Clark released this landmark album. Arguably the first country rock album, this album is not great merely for reas..."  [+]  Reply

"This album surrounded me growing up and still almost does, despite me rarely making a conscience effort to listen to it. The impact that The Beautiful Letdown had in Christian culture was almost comparable to the impact the Nevermind had in mainstream culture. All of my friends and I knew every s..."  [+]  Reply

"People write him off as pleasant yuppie music, good for dinner parties. There's more depth than that here. His lyrics are often insightful, and there's nothing wrong with being pleasant."  Reply

"Not a bad album by any means, and actually has some of Depeche's post-Alan Wilder songs, but the main problem here is quality control. If we widdled the 17 tracks down to 11 or 12, I think this would be a solid album and it wouldn't have as much of a "going through the motions" feel do it. Too ma..."  [+]  Reply

"Consistent third (and last) album; solid 8.5/10 until the plodder of Big Snake which may have got away with it if it was 90 seconds shorter. Doesn't realy pick up after that with Hey Rusty following, again not the strongest, and finishing with These Days which is a nice closer but no real substan..."  [+]  Reply
