"Difficult to explain why I like this. Something about its immediacy and Detroit-style rawness. Of course, the punk core stylings are nearly outdone by another 2014 favorite, Ought's More Than Any Other Day."  Reply

"Sauna feels more spacious, existentially darker & introspective than its three predecessors. Which - speaking of - makes this one feel like the final iteration of a series that began with Clear Moon (the lightest of the three) and continued on with Ocean Roar. Even though 2009's Wind's Poem unque..."  [+]  Reply

"Morrissey just doesn’t get any happier, does he? This record lacks much of the nostalgia factor of his earlier releases. The tunes aren’t quite as strong and his voice isn’t as treacly as it has been. Decent, but ultimately disappointing. Rating: Good Best track: Black Cloud"  Reply

"Definitely not among the best work that Opeth has delivered. It is dark and some of the Black Metal singing is back, but the album lacks really good melodies (except for "A Story Never Told") The music is traped in a blace that combines darkness with extensive prog-rock passages and weird vocals ..."  [+]  Reply

"one of my least favourite DD efforts i did not like the "funky" direction they took post SATRT there are some good tracks, namel the singles , "meet El Presidente", "Notorious" and the amazing "Skin Trade" however the album tacks do not shine for me and it remains one of my least played DD records"  [+]  Reply

"A mixed bag, the good is very good - Lorenzo, River So Wide, Dance, Oughta Know By Now, Just Another Story. The rest is pretty average. There's some decent drumming but not enough of it and a few tracks are lazy."  Reply

"It seems that the people making the 1001 Albums books have lost their minds. To get into a book you must make an album with songs with no sense, rhythm, message or whatever. This album is a prime example of that insanity."  Reply
