"It’s taken Jack Antonoff four years but he finally gets ‘Gone Now’ out of his system with the help of a few high profile friends (Lana Del Rey / The Boss) to give us a post breakup album with 10 neat organic tracks dripping with substance and style. For an excellent Springsteen tribute look no fu..."  [+]  Reply

"Despite the impressive role call of support artists here (Chad Smith, Elton John, Ringo Starr, Benmont Tench and Stevie Wonder) Edward Louise Severson The Third dishes up the quintessential mixed bag album with the good (“Try”, “Power of Right”, “The Haves”, “Mrs Mills”), the bad (“Brother the Cl..."  [+]  Reply

"Swing out Sister's music is happy and uplifting imo. There are some great tracks here, Breakout, Surrender and Fooled by a Smile are particular favourites. Most tracks are underpinned by really simple yet effective electric bass lines. As fresh today as when it was released in the eighties."  Reply

"I always try and avoid albums with 'featured' artists, always looks like 'help I've run out of ideas' to me. Two good tracks here, Game of Love and Victory is Won. The 'Feat.' Chad Kroeger one is OK too. I really hate 'featuring' what is wrong with 'with'??"  Reply

"I think Undercover is yet another underrated stones album. They never seem to get any credit for trying new sounds. This is a much more contemporary record with a really interesting use of percussion, especially on the title track, which I have to admit is the last of the truly great stones track..."  [+]  Reply

"A truly solid album which reached No.2 in the charts, with half of the songs being top 20 smash hits, "Only When You Leave"(3), "I'll Fly For You"(9), Highly Strung"(15) & "Round And Round"(18), although my favourite is "Nature Of The Beast". Tony Hadley's mesmeric vocals paired perfectly on all ..."  [+]  Reply

"The Joy Formidable have so much potential, I just hope that one day they are able to realize their full potential, and I think they will. They have a great sound, kind of a Muse mixed with My Bloody Valentine thing, loud, fuzzy guitar riffs and pounding drums with loud, proclaiming songs. This is..."  [+]  Reply
