Jan20. 1st listen. Wow, what a start. I can't remember how these guys got into my list, but I am sure glad they did. Sitting somewhere between PUP, Dead Bars and Spraynard, this really appeals to me.
The first three songs all went straight into my Checking Out list. This continued with the PUP cross Dead Milkmen, 'Garbage Universe'. 'Panicking' is full on and has a cool bass break. 'Light' and 'IDK' are two nice, mellow tracks near the end of the album. Actually, 'IDK' takes off into a cool riff about half way through. Man, I am discovering a lot of artists for this run of searching for my top 2019 albums. Like Penske File two years ago, this until now unknown band, has every chance of being my album of the year. Obviously, more plays required, but I enjoyed every moment of this album.
Jun20. Wow, many of the songs that have become my favourites, I did not even mention above. The chanted chorus of 'Long Island' might be my favourite part. 'Crossing Sign' and 'January First' were among the first songs into my #2019Hotterest100 from this. Still enjoying this immensely and sticking with the score for now. 4.5/5
