Sewn Together is the twelfth album by Meat Puppets. After Rise to Your Knees, the rocky reunion album, Sewn Together signaled a return to form for a lot of fans. The songwriting and melodies are much more focused, but a big flaw in some of the Meat Puppets records is here too: Melodies and song structures getting too lost in psychedelic rambling. There is major improvement on their follow-up records Lollipop and Rat Farm, where improvisation was structured and minimized, but Sewn Together was definitely a major step in the right direction.
