Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Quando il jazz non aveva ancora smesso di guardare avanti ( l'avrebbe fatto di lì a poco ); quando la musica nera era ancora ai massimi livelli e si stava pure contaminando con la psichedelia; quando la stessa psichedelia non aveva ancora perso del tutto la sua spinta creativa e soprattutto non era ancora degenerata in progressive se non quel tanto che bastava a tracciare nuove vie; quando in Inghilterra si era in pieno folk revival. Quando tutto questo avveniva si era nel 1969 e tutto questo è contenuto in "Streetnoise"
