Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.5/100, a mean average of 65.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 65.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.3.

Glorious rock
Somewhat formulaic and generic, but a solid effort. Doesn't sound as inspired as the band's previous work - album feels workmanlike in comparison to Pyromania and Hysteria. "White Lightning" is easily the best song on the album. "Let's Get Rocked" is fun if a little cheesy and dated, "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad" is a fine power ballad and "Tear It Down" is fine.
"Make Love Like a Man" is pretty bad. "Tonight" should have been acoustic, Stand Up Kick Love into Motion is ok but could have been scrapped, Heaven Is grows on you upon repeat.
Sadly album came out at the wrong time. Instead of doubling down on the pop metal sound, Leppard should have gone back to a more Pyromania influenced sound
Beautiful underrated album. Some filler, but the three hitter Tonight, White Lightning (My favorite Def Leppard song), and then Stand Up make this worth much repeated listening
Not as good as the mega hysteria, but still a worthy record.

Very good hard rock/glam metal album. Best 10 songs average is 91,8/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Continuously strong without any lows. Best and full scoring song is opener "Let's get rocked", followed by "Make love like a man" 95/100 and next "Heaven is", "Tonight", "Have you ever needed someone so bad" and "I wanna touch u" all 90/100. All (!!) other songs good 85/100. Favourite!
It can't compare to Euphoria, but it's a good album. Too bad many of the songs are just average.

I actually had a bit of a soft spot for Def Leppard. But this album sounds lazy and behind the times.

Can't believe it's been 20 years since the first time I heared 'Let's Get Rocked'. The Brit lads were really, really big here! 'Adrenalize' is my favourite. I like it better than 'Hysteria' (and when 'Pyromania' was released I wasn't even 3!).
Favourites? 'White Lightning', 'Stand Up', 'Personal Property', 'Tear it Down' and of course the hit singles.
Immediatly after losing such a key member it's amazing to see how great this album is.

Def Leppard slid a bit more into the cheese of pop metal with this one with tracks named "make love like a man" and "let's get rocked". They were embracing the tongue-in-cheek of "pour some sugar on me" a little more here. The songs were still as catchy as "hysteria" (except for "white lightning") but felt a bit lighter.
