Love the Stranglers, best punk band by far.
R.I.P. Dave Greenfield, writer and arranger of the immortal "Golden Brown", a keyboardist extraordinaire who brought something different to the post-punk movement. Died as a result of the coronavirus "COVID-19" on 5th May 2020.
Although not strictly punk, one of the best bands to come out of that era along with The Clash.
Did you know that Hugh and JJ met whilst they both worked at an abattoir, after a couple of months choking their chickens they left, and this is how the band got their name
Stanglers put out some great stuff, even some of the later albums without Hugh Cornwall are ok.
Love The Stranglers. Their main best of album is class. Must get to know their albums better.
