One of the all time greatest guitarists. One of my great regrets is that I never got to see him play live. Had tickets to see him play towards the end of July 1995 in Cambridge, England but unfortunately he passed a month earlier. Left Ys far too soon but what a legacy.
The greatest guitar player ever, my idol and I'm gutted ill never get to see him live as he left us far too soon. This guy lived for the music, and thoughout his career he didnt deviate from the blues that he loved as others fell into the trends of the time. privileged enough to have met him (although sorry to say I don't remember as I was very young)

Let me just put it this way. In 1969, just after Woodstock, Jimi Hendrix was asked in an interview how he felt to be the greatest guitarist in the world. Hendrix replied with a simple "I dunno, ask Rory Gallagher." Nuff said.
