Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)

This artist is rated in the top 2% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 82.2/100, a mean average of 80.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 82.8/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 17.4.

One of the greatest musical geniuses of the 20th century who's impact on popular culture and politics has been immense. How is he ranked outside the top 100 on this site I do not know, of course the Legend compilation is very popular but a lot of the studio albums are worth checking out too, especially the underrated Survival

The absolute definition of Reggae. His music and his message are legend-worthy; an excellent, totally timeless and unequaled musician.

Deserves his massive reputation. If only half the people who listened to him to relax on the beach would actually hear the message he infuses throughout.
