Top 10 Greatest Music Albums
by Chezlovakian Unknown

This is my opinion on the ten greatest albums ever. How can OK Computer be #1. Radiohead is a terrible band. Does anybody here think that Radiohead is better than The Beatles. You would have to be dumb to think that. I'm in shock that Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is so low on many lists. It has to be in the top three. You don't have to like it, but look at it's impact. Without that album, many albums you like would not even exist.

Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 72.8/100, a mean average of 62.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 62.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 19.3.

I like a lot of your albums here, but I disagree with your introduction. Individual charts should be based on what one personally likes, not what you deem culturally significant.

I can make two sentences, both including the Beatles and Radiohead. Beatles will be gone after the first sentence.

I like your chart, but I don't agree with your hatred of Radiohead.

Good list.. but but there are good albums after the 80's.
Sgt. Pepper is a great album but some of the
songs in the middle of the album make me cringe.
But 'A Day in the Life'...wow!
OK Computer on the other hand I can enjoy from
beginning to end, and I honestly believe Radiohead
are better than The Beatles, but only if you can appreciate
Melancholic music. Otherwise its beauty will go over your head. The Beatles never reach the same intense emotion as Radiohead.

ok I agree with everybodies opinion, but there is no doubt it's one of the top three most influential albums of all time.

"over a few people's ears"? That's a really condescending thing to say, mate.

Sgt Pepper doesn't have to be in a top three just because of its cultural significance. Personal opinion allows freedom for people to say what they think is great.
