Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Most of the albums on this list would be in my top 100 chart (if only I had enough points). But I've not heard Antlers before. Seems like I should give them a go. (That's a good aspect of this site - it introduces you to bands that you should like.)
