Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. This is a very (self consciously?) hip chart. Although I respect and like most of these artists, I question a few of your specific album choices. On the other hand, nice to see Underwater Moonlight, My Generation, Sound Affects, The Modern Lovers,others. The good definitely outweighs the so-so.

A great selection of albums across many decades with balance - certainlyt all I know are worth listening to and I suspect strongly the remainer are too. Thx for introducing them.

some good albums but im a bit unsure about the ramones album youv chosen, its probably my least favourite of them and the offspring album who i am not a big fan of
