Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Well I really should reshuffle this chart more often but although I love the Beatles I wouldnt give them any status I dont think they deserve in the chart and before making this I had relistened to Definitely Maybe and it really grabbed me, its position could change if I listen to both albums again and feel differently about them.

Putting the White Album at #1 is like taking Shakespeare on a desert island. You have every style and mood you could possibly want all in one album. Great choice! The rest of the list is classy as well. Five points off for The Smiths, who I haven't been able to get into for some reason... But I'll keep trying!

Nice chart, seeing that you have picked similar albums to me (or vice versa) I'll be checking out the stuff on your chart I'm not familiar with!
Just one little thing, Definately Maybe before Abbey Road??? Coming from the 111th beatle that's a bit strange :-)
Anyway, nice chart!

Nevermind if safe or not - all great albums. I've got all but Strangeways - which I will get. Surprised given your list that Pink Floyd don't get a mention
