Top 35 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:

AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 80.9/100, a mean average of 76.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.5.

prog rock - new artrock OK
It's been great to find Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank planet, Opeth's Damnation and Riverside's Second Life Syndrome on the top 10, and Rajaz by Camel over here :) Your chart has improved since my last visit so I have given you my highest rating, a 10, because those "not too well known albums" are four of my favourites if you take away the classics and so I think that we are very similar :) I will listen to other albums from you when I get some time, I suggest you do the same.
Some real intellectual rock. I like it.
Generally here is only a few classics! although it shows the potential! My first recommendation would be 'Funeral'
by Arcade fire and 'Physical Graffiti' by Led Zeppelin. Check them out, hopefully you won't regret it.
I'm glad to see you here. please fill the rest of your chart and listen to different genres. dont you have any better selection instead of "damnation" or Riverside albums?please listen wider...
Very good chart, but you're a little heavy on Radiohead, but in fairness they make great albums. Nice one
