Top 50 Greatest Music Albums by FHCA72
My Top-10 and more 40 albums, in order of release. Collections listed last. A different and, perhaps, a surprising list. Some albuns here maybe are controversial, often hated by some traditional fans of the artist, however, are typically more worked albums that the most famous albuns of these artists.
A list without prejudice and chosen with care. Sure very different to many music critics opinions... but, let´s admit it, if musical critics understand music, they would be famous musicians.... hehe....

A first line studio musicians band, a varied, well cared and well arranged repertoire and great lyrics. Even the original vinyl cover is great. [First added to this chart: 07/22/2011]
For me, this is the more purple sound from Deep Purple and the MkIII is the best line up (I really like Gillan but, sorry, the work of Coverdale here is impeccable and incomparable).
Best songs: "Burn," "Might Just Take Your Life" and "Sail Away". The cover is also noteworthy, very cool. [First added to this chart: 07/22/2011]
SEVEN TURNS contains my two favorite songs from the band: "Good Clean Fun" and the title track "Seven Turns".
The jazzy instrumental "True Gravity" with it´s almost eight minutes (where the Dickey Betts guitar are not so cloying and annoying as some of the long songs from the band in the 70´s) and the great blues "Low Down Dirty Mean" with it´s variations of moods and rhythms also noteworthy. I love the cover too. [First added to this chart: 07/22/2011]
The previous album (A SENSE OF PLACE, from 1990) and the later (SPINNING COIN, from 1995) are also great, but this one is almost perfect.
Coco Montoya's guitar makes all the difference, and John Mayall is in great shape, both on vocals and his smart harmonica.
A great and varied Blues album.
The opening track, "Mail Order Mystics" is one of my all time favorite songs! [First added to this chart: 07/22/2011]
I'm a real Ronnie Van Zant fan, but it is impossible not to acknowledge the technical superiority of his brother Johnny on vocals here. In the first 2 albums he recorded with the band (SOUTHERN BY THE GRACE OF GOD and 1991) Johnny was not very convincing, but in THE LAST REBEL and specially this album, he acquired a maturity in her voice and in her interpretations that made it one of my 10 favorite voices of all time.
Known old songs in new arrangements (such as "Saturday Night Special"), less remembered old songs ("Poison Whiskey"), an inspired Elvis cover ("Heartbreak Hotel") and some new songs (especially "Good Luck, Bad Luck" and the excellent ballad "All I Have is A Song") make this the coolest Skynyrd album to me... and my all time favorite acoustic album. [First added to this chart: 07/22/2011]
A modern album, well produced, well played, well recorded.
I don´t think Tim McGraw is a totally authentic artist, independent and with full control of your discs, but he has a good voice, sings in a very pleasant way and printed his name in some of the best albums of the last 10 years.
This disc, in particular, reached the top of the Billboard and Country Albums charts. The composers of the title track and Tim also won the Grammy in 2005 for best country song and best male vocal performance.
The best songs: "My Old Friend", "Blank Sheet Of Paper", "Live Like You Were Dying", "Just Be Your Tear" and my favorite "Open Season On My Heart".
For those who don´t have dumb prejudice against country albuns, I recommend listening to this. [First added to this chart: 07/22/2011]

Good lld Blues-Rock Chart with some good old musicians.
Fantastic!
Some interesting choices. If you like the Warren Haynes era LS, check out a band called Govt. Mule.
