Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 18% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.2/100, a mean average of 86.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 8.6.

Top chart, there's some really nice picks in your chart. Pentangle No 1, why not it's a great album. Nice one
Very good chart. Some pearls in here.
Lots of great folk and country albums on this list. Really great top ten- nice to see Pentangle getting some love!
Hi Oselju,
Currently 19% of my list is from after the '70s :-)
Nice Chart, good choices.
Just a question : no good music after 70's ??...
Nice to see Basket Of Light at No.1. I own about 60% of your top 50 so it's interesting to note stuff I haven't got
Great Chart.
Your picks are a little bit outmoded, but I´m not sure if the Music of the last decades is better than the Music from the 60´s and 70`s...
I´m missing the 1`st Little Feat Album (my favorite) and a Richard Thompson solo album...
Very nice chart. It's great to see some lesser-known great American artists like Doc Watson, Guy Clark, and Tony Rice. Sweetheart of the Rodeo and Uncle Charlie and his Dog Teddy are great examples of country-inspired rock music.
Really different but you've almost completely ignored the 21st century, so a bit too narrow minded in my opinion
Some great albums on your list man :)
