Top 57 Greatest Music Albums by Shiebs17 Unknown

I rate all albums on this chart out of 5. I take each song into account. If all of the songs on an album are top tier, I will give the album a 5 (that is why there is no "least favorite song" for 5's). This means any track, even if it is above average, can be a detriment to the album. I feel this is the best way to express my feelings for a record as a whole. Usually I do not take intros, interludes, or hidden tracks into account for a rating. It may seem like I have a lot of 5's on here (which I do) but that is because they all are personally close to me and I believe, due to my musical preferences, that they all deserve the 5/5 rating.

The album cover is just another great feature for me. It does not necessarily add to my score out of 5 for an album, but I like to show how I think of it.

"To live and not to breathe is to die in tragedy. To run... to run away... to find what you believe and I leave behind this hurricane of f***ing lies."

This album was a big risk for Green Day after their underwhelming album Warning, yet rock and roll is a risk in itself. They hit hard with this hour and few minute long record with smashing singles and two 9 minute songs (Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming) that develop the plot of this awesome punk rock opera.

"I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone."

As with American Idiot, The Black Parade is another rock opera that hits hard with it’s epic singles and emotional songs such as Cancer and Disenchanted. Famous Last Words is the perfect song to end the album and is their best song to date.

"I'm so happy cause today I found my friends, they're in my head. I'm so ugly, but that's okay cause so are you."

"Tidal waves they rip right through me, tears from eyes worn cold and sad, pick me up now, I need you so bad."

Whenever a song on this album comes up in my Spotify shuffle, I can never skip it. Each song flows together in great fashion but they are amazing as standalone tracks as well. This should be remembered as blink’s magnum opus rather than Enema of the State.

"When I am king, you will be first against the wall with your opinion which is of no consequence at all."

I recently discovered this band and album after realizing it was the “best ever album” on this website. I might not be that great, but this record totally changed my outlook on the diversity of 90s music styles.

"You've got to be the best. You've got to change the world. And use this chance to be heard. Your time is now."

The best Muse album to date that is carried by Matt Bellamy’s amazing voice that rocks on every track.

"I'm on my feet, I'm on the floor, I'm good to go. Now all I need is just to hear a song I know. I wanna always feel like part of this was mine. I wanna fall in love tonight."

This album defined the emo scene for the early 2000's and holds up to that standard today.
