Since my charts only concern music from the popular era, this chart is never gonna be very large. In the '50s folk and jazz genres still reigned, but halfway the decade something new started developing, influenced by both, but completely different from either. It's rock 'n' roll.
First four are 10/10, 5-7 are 9/10, and the rest 8/10, and the only ones that are.

If I could make a '40s chart, it would just be Sister Rosetta Tharpe and nothing else (regarding my focus on music).

A rare intersection of rock 'n' roll, traditional pop and soul that dominated the charts for about a decade and created a bridge from rock 'n' roll to garage rock (and inspired garage rockers a whole lot). Here's where it started.
