Probably my favorite year for music of the '80s. Almost looks like an early '70s year in terms of quality depth.

They don't make 'em like this anymore, but then again, almost no one was doing it like Kate even then. By far her crowning masterpiece. Been listening blissfully to it since high school.

Another one of the most underrated albums of all time. So many artists over the past 40 years owe so much to this album, but it would seem that very few of those who do, acknowledge it.

To me, clearly their second-best long play (Chronic Town is, of course, between this and Murmur). Extremely underrated within their catalog.

I cannot claim this as some artistic masterpiece. It's just a personal favorite. I love the mood and memories it creates. The genesis of Starbucks music.

Another of the '80s' forgotten gems. So good.

My favorite album by these guys, in spite of the gauzy production. A major harbinger of shoegaze, which is virtually never acknowledged. The first two albums *are* their catalog for me. They sound like a different, and far inferior, band to me on Strange Days, and I can't figure out why I'm the only one who hears it that way.
