"A beautiful album centred around unrequited love. k d Lang moves away from her country style and delivers an album full of melancholy and self retribution. Best tracks, Save Me, Mind Of Love, Constant Craving, Season of Hollow Soul and Miss Chatelaine. (First added to chart: 14/06/2012)"  Reply

"I enjoyed this album a lot. It may be not as good as Loveless or Ride's Nowhere, but it's a very good shoegazing record. It's a consistent album, there is not a low point here, it's energetic, fun and dreamy at the same time. It's recommended to any shoegazing fans. My track picks are: 'I Want to..."  [+]  Reply

"In which the girls, who had been silent in rock for years, get their grunge on. Their 3rd album, Bricks Are Heavy rode the wave of Nirvana with the single "Pretend We're Dead" to stardom. These aren't girls you'd necessarily want to date...they are deadpan and scathing, giving pretty much everyon..."  [+]  Reply

"Truly Madonna's most underrated album. The themes are consistent and it's a very moody, truthful album. She wasn't afraid of backlash and didn't care about sales, she just wanted to say what was on her mind. But, sadly the album does get a little bit lost in itself. The songs run a little long, i..."  [+]  Reply

"Amazing album. Not released until 14 years after Chris Bell's death. It saddens me to think of all the great music he could have made and the possibility that he could have reformed Big Star at some point. Title song, You and Your Sister, Speed of Sound are melodic classics. The album is a must f..."  [+]  Reply

"Recently I was part of a conversation with some friends about the career trajectory of Buffalo Tom. Among my friends in college, it was undisputed conventional wisdom at the time that Buffalo Tom's first two albums, their self-titled debut and Birdbrain, are alternative-rock classics. The album w..."  [+]  Reply

"It should be made absolutely clear that this is bright shiny disco pop tunes, and nothing but it. If that is your kind of thing, this is a GREAT compilation from start to finish. Only a couple of tracks that could have been omitted, and really just Summer Night City mysteriously missing (probably..."  [+]  Reply

"I'll always give this album extra credit because I played it to death in high school. It seems they never matched this. Don't assume it's only Runaway Train. There's plenty of catchy alt-rock here. Too bad they were overshadowed by Seattle."  Reply
