"My introduction to the retro sounds of The Hoodoo Gurus - and I will forever feel blessed. A combination of Beatlesque chiming guitars, tribal drumming, and Cramps-like cemetery humor, "Stoneage Romeos" plays it hard and fast, and gives notice that this group from down under would be around for a..."  [+]  Reply

"This was the album where the new modern and more rocking sounds of Los Lobos were introduced. Like the previous album "And a Time to Dance" the album was produced by T Bone Burnett and Steve Berlin, and there are obviously many similarities to that album. You could say that approximately half of ..."  [+]  Reply

"As has already been said there is a "Cure" feel about this album via Robert Smith on guitars/keyboards. It is however essentially a Banshee record although Smiths influence cannot be denied(Dazzle, Bring Me The Head.... & Blow The House Down). Other notable tracks are Take Me Back & We Hunger."  Reply
