"This album effectively combines rock, rap, R&B, gospel, and pop music along with faith based lyrics to create a classic album. It is considered a landmark album in the Contemporary Christian Music scene."  Reply

"Blown away the first time I heard this record, as soon as I got hooked, I had to buy all the sheet music online. I have never heard anyone make chords function in the way that Art Alexakis does. Every Chord is Major. The use of the II chord is present in nearly every track, WTF??? There are also ..."  [+]  Reply

"An excellent and totally underrated debut. It's full of great songs in the vein of Joni Mitchell. Best tracks are, foolish games, you were meant for me, and, painters. A great album that deserves more attention."  Reply

"Simply put, this is the best heavy-metal album of the 90s, and for my money, of all time. It takes the furocity of Pantera, the groove/classic-rock influence of COC, and combines it with the underground metalcore of Eyehategod/Crowbar to create an epic, southern influenced heavy-metal album. "It's barely listenable, the songs have no discernible structures, and each vocal melody sounds like a dog being horribly maimed. I mean, it better be one of the best emo records ever recorded."  Reply
