The Low End Theory is obviously one of the greatest hip hop albums ever. Midnight Marauders though is equally a great classic and Beats Rhymes & Life may be a little darker than previous albums but still great. At the top of their game, very few can match with them.

Low End Theory isn't the only one to listen to. Midnight Marauders is a gem as well, and PITATPOR is decent as well. Their compilations are great, but these guys weren't a one-album wonder. An absolute titan of hip-hop, who took sampling, beats, and lyrics in a new direction. A wonderful foil for G-Funk.

"Low End Theory." That's the one to listen to, definitely. After that, go for the greatest hits album.

How in the world has Low End Theory been overlooked until I came along and added it to the database? It's only the greatest hip hop album of the 90s...
