"This album came at a point where I was completely exhaused with Wu-Tang. I really felt like their quality had dipped quite a bit (and for the most part it HAD -- there was a lot of cash grabbing at this time) so it was hard for me to give SC a fair shake. Now that time has passed, it's clear that..." [More]

"This one is no more "pop" than the previous two albums, but it probably "feels" more poppy because it rolls out all of the mid 80s cliches: glossy production, over-the-top keyboards, etc. Plus, half of the album is on regular radio rotation, so we just associate it with "pop". It's certainly more..." [More]

"A bad acid trip. This album ventures out into pretty frightening territory, while combining a vast variety of musical style. This is a complex nightmarish psychedelia. Listening will cause you to become tense, lost in darkness, paranoid. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS RECORD WHILE ON ACID!"

"The most awesome mix of 70s hard rock, prog rock and proto metal. Influential and cool beyond words. Fav tracks: Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver, Tyrant, Victim Of Changes, Ripper... all really, every single song is great"

"Fantastic record through and through. The sampling is flawless, and the rhythms are interesting and unique enough in each track to keep you listening. One of my favorites. Not sure why the rating is so low... The album has a 79/100 even though the lowest rated song is an 82..."

"Very quirky and playful. Polachek excitedly ruffles around in her toy box of production tricks. Those whistles, chirps and finger snaps gilding the beat of “Bunny is a Rider” dropping right into the flamenco strings of “Sunset”, then the echoing quartz crystal pops of “Crude Drawing of An Angel”,..." "Another strong Genesis album. Wind and Wuthering, isn't quite as instantly memorable as, trick of the tail, but repeated listens brings out it's sense of mystery and wonder. Nice album."
