"Some may not agree but this is the best Alice in chains album. While a couple songs arn't great, the other songs more than make up for it. This is a solid album and captures more of what the band really is to me in a time before they were just a little too polished"  Reply

"Fantastic record through and through. The sampling is flawless, and the rhythms are interesting and unique enough in each track to keep you listening. One of my favorites. Not sure why the rating is so low... The album has a 79/100 even though the lowest rated song is an 82..."  Reply

"This album came at a point where I was completely exhaused with Wu-Tang. I really felt like their quality had dipped quite a bit (and for the most part it HAD -- there was a lot of cash grabbing at this time) so it was hard for me to give SC a fair shake. Now that time has passed, it's clear that..."  [+]  Reply

"This one is no more "pop" than the previous two albums, but it probably "feels" more poppy because it rolls out all of the mid 80s cliches: glossy production, over-the-top keyboards, etc. Plus, half of the album is on regular radio rotation, so we just associate it with "pop". It's certainly more..."  [+]  Reply

"A bad acid trip. This album ventures out into pretty frightening territory, while combining a vast variety of musical style. This is a complex nightmarish psychedelia. Listening will cause you to become tense, lost in darkness, paranoid. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS RECORD WHILE ON ACID!"  Reply

"Garbage's "version 2.0" built off of what they did on "1.0". It's a sum of the parts of 3 tech-savvy studio producers, guitars and shirley's snarl. "special" is the standout track, but other hits include "i think i'm paranoid", "push it" and "when i grow up". The non-hits are a little better than..."  [+]  Reply

"The most awesome mix of 70s hard rock, prog rock and proto metal. Influential and cool beyond words. Fav tracks: Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver, Tyrant, Victim Of Changes, Ripper... all really, every single song is great"  Reply

"Even with After Laughter now under Paramore's belt, I still feel this is their strongest album. Their success can be attributed to the fact that Paramore knew which songs were destined to be hit singles in the music scene post-Fall Out Boy's breakthrough success two years prior. While the three h..."  [+]  Reply
