"I don't quite understand why this album is so highly rated. I think it's a dreary album full of tired old twelve bars and derivative re-writes of old pop and folk tunes. Too many Dylan albums are like this these days. I must admit though I think working man blues is brilliant and thunder on the m..." [+] Reply

"I've heard in several places the Crooked Rain, Crooked rain is the most accessible Pavement album. However, after 3 listens, to my ears this seems to be the easiest to grasp. Really enjoying it so far, seems to be their most focused album. I'm falling in love with this band...too bad it's 2012" Reply

"Masterfully written and engaging. I'm not even a huge fan of things on the fringe of folk/country, but I love almost every song on this album. This is probably my favorite release from Waxahatchee, and Fire might be my song of the year so far. Favorite tracks: Fire, Ruby Falls, Arkadelphia, St. C..." [+] Reply

"It's hard to put a finger on XTC. I understand why some people don't love them. They manage to be disorienting without the traditional means. The guitars frequently enter into repetitive hypnotic states, with a jagged bounce. Drums & Wires may be their finest collection, and a solid entry point f..." [+] Reply

"Sandy Denny is, in my opinion, the greatest female singer / songwriter Britain has ever produced, though, if you think about it, the competition list is quite short. 'Who Knows Where the time Goes' is on this, so that would be reason enough by itself to include this album, but it also includes tw..." [+] Reply

"I'm not normally a huge fan of concept albums, but when I hear a good one, I think I like it even better than a conventional collection of tracks. This one centers on a lovelorn, nostalgia-ridden protagonist named Van Occupanther, who must have lived in some mythical past surrounded by dense fore..." [+] Reply

"If You are a fan of Kate, this is the undoubtedly best album of 2011. If You are not, You will become one after listening carefully. Do not hurry with opinions, this piece will grow inside You after several tries. Then shall stay there forever. And, although hit is not her best, it is still a pro..." [+] Reply

"Since the 70s there really hasn't been an artist that has put out more than 3 strong albums (usually in a row) and Pearl Jam knocked that usual trend with their 5th strong album straight. They come out pretty straight-forward rockin' on this one for the most part after (and as an extension of) th..." [+] Reply
