"This is the album Wilco should've made as the "A Ghost Is Born" 180 degree return to the "Being There" phase. They do everything Wilco did with "Sky Blue Sky", but demonstrate more of a fresher, rootsier perspective. There are elements of funk, rock, bluegrass and punk on this album."  Reply

"40footwolf summed it up pretty well. It's kind of like a heavy metal band listened to a Brian Eno album and went "well this is fucking boring, I bet we can liven this up a bit." and so they did and 'twas good."  Reply

"Hearts and bones, was a huge commercial disappointment for Paul Simon, and was mainly written during his breakup with Carrie Fisher. Hearts and bones, had a contemporary sound, and contained some of Simon's greatest songs. The title track, is one of these, a beautiful acoustic song, it is one of ..."  [+]  Reply

"The start of the folk revival, but much more. A stylistic decision made by lack of alternatives, but it automatically is the perfect style to express political critique. Other than other folk revivals it didn't originate from chauvinistic longing to simpler times, but rather from a need for chang..."  [+]  Reply

"This album was huge in Britain, where 'Grace Kelly', 'Love Today' and 'Relax (Take it Easy)' were big hits. Did not deserve the apathy it received in the states. It's worthwhile to pay attention to the British music charts, and this album proves it."  Reply

"Steven Wilson regrets making this album. Why Mr Wilson? Yes it is obviously a tip to Pink Floyd in its layout. But at least it sounds original (compare this with Voyage 34 which is too close to Another Brick in the Wall IMO). And the songs are brilliant. And it got me interested in Pink Floyd. No..."  [+]  Reply

"Absolutely underrated and beautiful. Musically extremely similar to Cocteau Twins, which was intentional, especially since they helped to contribute a couple instrumentals for the album. Faye Wong brings a different flavor to Liz Fraser of the aforementioned group, and I am immediately obsessed w..."  [+]  Reply

"It feels almost like a pop album, with its catchy melodies, variable production, and the occasional cringy moment. I don't feel that its as artistically significant as their debut or Meliora, but its so fun it'll probably be the album of theirs I play the most. Best Track: Miasma"  Reply
