"I'll always give this album extra credit because I played it to death in high school. It seems they never matched this. Don't assume it's only Runaway Train. There's plenty of catchy alt-rock here. Too bad they were overshadowed by Seattle."  Reply

"If you're a Ramones fan or a fan of 70's punk this is a no brainer. Great 1977 New Years Eve show at the height of the Ramones power. Original 4 Johnny Joey Tommy and Dee Dee. This is well recorded, sonically great and so so satisfying. One of the greatest live albums EVER and my personal favorit..."  [+]  Reply

"First half is pretty corny IMO. I get that Joey didn't want his message to get lost in translation but I feel like I'm getting beat over the head. Lyrically the second half is a lot better but the production is lacking compared to the first half. I wish Joey mixed his modern sound with his 90s so..."  [+]  Reply

"The best Zappa album of the Waka/Jawaka and Hot Rats period, Grand Wazoo is also one of the most underrated within his extensive canon. Although the playing is possibly not as strident or experimental as say the jazz of 'Weasels', it does not enter the realms of kitsch as is the case with the ove..."  [+]  Reply

"The concept and aesthetic of this album could of easily collapsed into a self-ingulgent pretension mess, but thankfully this is not the case. A truly terrifying and brutally sincere performance."  Reply

"Understandably overshadowed by what would come later from the Mk II version of the band. However, this is a very solid debut album that the Mk I version of the band would never be able to top. Hush, Mandrake Root, Help!, and Hey Joe are all great."  Reply
