"I love it! It's certainly not anything radically different from his last records but it's still catchy as hell. I might even go so far as to call it his most consistent release yet. "Just To Put Me Down" is perfect summery crooning to drink yourself to sleep to. B+"  Reply

"Im starting to see a trend of people being too sensitive for a lot of good music on this website. Too sensitive to get it, and you create the same propaganda the media did at the time of these releases in an attempt to silence them. Actually listen and get rid of that ego. If you think this is ac..."  [+]  Reply

"After the rather disappointing 1972 album "Carl And The Passions / So Tough" the Beach Boys are back on track with one of their strongest albums "Holland". As with its predecessor, Brian Wilson's musical contribution is limited, but fortunately the other two Wilson brothers shine with strong song..."  [+]  Reply

"The album was recorded in a church. When you listen armed with the knowledge it seems patently obvious, especially the monumental Nothing but Heart; my favourite guitar track this century. The Great Distroyer is still my favourite Low album, it's on my chart. This one will be if I ever get to bei..."  [+]  Reply

"George Harrison's third best behind All Things Must Pass and Brainwashed. This album has some great balladry, excellent melodies and just shows what Harrison was all about."  Reply

"Spanish prog of the 70's was very influenced by local folkclor. In Andalucía it resulted in a mix with flamenco music. The early fusion appeared like bands like Smash in the very early 70s, but was people like Triana who push this fusion into the charts. In 1975 with this historic record they cre..."  [+]  Reply

"I'm thinking another reason is that there were 4 mega hits on this album. I understand your point that there is nothing special about these songs, but you can't deny the catchiness of them. There's nothing wrong with straight forward catchy pop songs every now and then."  Reply

"those chainsaws, the eccentricity, that manic production! M.I.A's third LP "Maya" is a slice of brilliant avant-pop/hip-hop/punk that'll certainly be remembered as the weirdest and most polarising piece of art from one of the most controversial sonic geniuses of our generation. A sorely underappr..."  [+]  Reply

"This is a very unique album. The musicianship is superb and the styles weave between rock, jazz, prog and the downright bizarre. I think this is the best of the Radio Gnome trilogy. 'You' is strong, but this is the most intersting listen imo. If I can, I want to get this and Flying Teapot on viny..."  [+]  Reply

"It's one of those albums that's great when you have a hangover, or maybe on a road trip, but isn't necessarily artistically cutting edge. Nevertheless, Barnett still stars as a lyricist on an album that otherwise bears Vile's stamp in terms of music."  Reply
