"Cat's best album, IMO. The raw production most of the songs makes it hold up well almost 50 years later, I guess the acoustic nature of folk music is generally rather timeless in style. Funny piece of trivia: the name of the album was Cat's name for a certain, uh, masculine part of his body - whi..."  [+]  Reply

"Finally found a Russian band I can relate to. I grew up on Soviet folk songs and the CRINGY Russian blues-rock that is Grigory Leps, and have always felt an apprehension towards any Russian music as a result. This art-folk, experimental, prog rock album broke down a lot of this for me. Great listen."  Reply

"The album is basically the UK release of Louder Than Bombs and actually predates LTB by a couple of months. Both were collections of singles that didn't appear on any Smiths studio albums. The comp was released between studio releases to tide fans over in the meantime. The only difference between..."  [+]  Reply

"It's barely listenable, the songs have no discernible structures, and each vocal melody sounds like a dog being horribly maimed. I mean, it better be one of the best emo records ever recorded."  Reply

"It's okay... some of the songs sound very similar. Highlights for me are Typhoons and Boilermaker. Quite like the closing piano track, it's very different to everything else they've ever done but it works for me. They'll need to diversify their sound as you can already see them starting to run ou..."  [+]  Reply

"Not as good as her debut but a good album nonetheless. The best tracks are the first 2 and the last 2. Be Careful Of My Heart & Subcity are the next best. The only track I would skip is Material World the rest of the album is good."  Reply
