"S-K's amazing and best punk album. The riffs here are uniquely brilliant with Tucker and Brownstein inventing their unique way of interlocking vocals and guitar lines "Call the Doctor", "Hubcap" "Taste Test". Aggressive feminism tracks "I'm not Waiting" and 'Taking Me Home" really hot home. Macfa..."  [+]  Reply

"A marvellous record by the "godfather of bossa nova", with his trademark acoustic guitar and very precise voice _ he'd be the best rapper ever if he ever rapped. His version of then recently released but today classic "Águas de Março", by Jobim, might be the best there is. Very sophisticated, but..."  [+]  Reply

"The first JMJ album I bought. I purchased this on the back of the ravings about Oxygene from a French student who stayed with my family one hot eighties summer. Couldn't get hold of Oxygene at the time. Still enjoy listening to this, not my favourite album by JMJ but the sort of album you end hum..."  [+]  Reply

"Honestly, this album is slowly growing on me. I don't like it as much as Evil Friends, but the highlights easily rival some of the bands earlier material which I love."  Reply

Grrr!
Compilation
"Between this and 40 licks, I've listened to 40 licks far more, but there are some really nice and crucial tracks missing from that compilation that are present here. I ended up finding this on vinyl and paying a pretty penny for it, but it was so worth it. Of course, the best Rolling Stones great..."  [+]  Reply

"This album is just so...strange. It's absurd and messy. But when I listen to it, I have this weird urge to keep on listening to see what happens next. I would say it's similar to something that you'd find on Adult Swim, maybe like 12 oz. Mouse: the quality is far from polished, nothing seems to m..."  [+]  Reply

"I haven't listened to this tape (yes, a tape!) in over 25 years! I dug it out of my tape collection (which I thankfully kept) this evening, it sounds as good, if not better now, than it did all those years ago. At that time it got a lot of play in the car stereo! Listening to it on a quality audi..."  [+]  Reply

"In the 60’s it wasn’t uncommon for artists to release 2 albums of new material in the same year with The Beatles (twice !) , Dylan and The Doors all achieving this feat. Whilst it is less common these days it still happens with artists such as King Gizzard and Guided By Voices but the the differe..."  [+]  Reply
