"If you only like early Roxy (Siren and before) then chances are you will slay this record. If you like Roxy of the 80's (Flesh+Blood, Avalon) then you will likely enjoy this one too. If like me, you enjoy all the evolution of Roxy Music (and as individuals, Eno, Ferry, Manzanera) then you will re..."  [+]  Reply

"This is far better than it's dismal rating of 64 would suggest. There are 94 better albums in 2007, I think not. The title track is better every time I play it. Tracks 14 and 18 are also highlights."  Reply

"Please have a listen to this album. You can see some Camel, Mike Oldfield and Classical Music influences but still this concept album is unique. Great vocals and instrumentation; piano, mellotron, violin and flute are more prominent than guitars. The first song, a masterpiece, is a long track whi..."  [+]  Reply

"This is a very uneven record. I think with some different arrangements and a better band this could have been a knockout album. It's enjoyable and "One Of Us" remains a sublime meditation on humanity."  Reply

"Sweet cocktail of an album. Strong songs all the way through with a very cool delivery. This album and others popular in urban enclaves at the time -- e..g. Washed Out, Neon Indian, Small Black, Yacht, Yeosayer -- were the soundtrack for life in the bubble of Obama's blue America, especially on t..."  [+]  Reply

"Fast. Loud. Emotional. Heavy. This album changed the way i view music entirely. Lyrical masterpiece. Instrumental Masterpiece. Go listen to 'I Dont Care If You're Contagious' and 'The Boy Who Could Fly' right. Now."  Reply
