"This is my favorite album by these guys. This is when they went full out metal. Still a few traces of punk in the vocals but Rocky is a full metal guitarist. Go N' Breakdown is an instant thrash classic."  Reply

"Material that is 5 years old being the unused tracks not used on 2015’s ‘The Waterfall’ and as per any MMJ album represents an eclectic mix of Americana, Psychedelic, Prog, Rock, Classic Rock and Alt Country A little bit too all over the place for my palette"  Reply

"I have seen some reviews that were disappointed in this album as most tracks move Gary further away from straight 12 bar blues. This album is very different from his early work & live albums & that is exactly why I love it (though I do love his straight blues stuff as well). A great mix, of blues..."  [+]  Reply

"I’ve been a huge fan of these guys for a significant number of years and incredibly Doug Martsch and co are still releasing cracking albums after all this time. Some critics have claimed this one’s amongst their best work, I wouldn’t go that far but its a banger none the less"  Reply

"69 is as important as Treasure by Cocteau Twins and Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine when it comes to pioneering the shoegaze movement. 69 is an album in its own dimension. "Crazy Blue" is the spiraling gateway drug to a dream world of complex emotions and abstract ideas, and "Spanish Quay (..."  [+]  Reply
